We are looking for an accomplished guitar teacher (electric guitar preference for beginner students.)*

JOB TYPE:



Part-time position. Flexible hours: The number of hours will depend on the number of pupils requiring tuition that you wish to teach.

SALARY and BENEFITS:



50/hour, with the potential to progress. Annual increased compensation based on pupil performance and retention considered. Annual staff bonus based on performance considered. Teaching resources package provided. Uplifting and welcoming work environment.

LOCATION:



Central London: Boroughs of Kensington and Chelsea, Hammersmith and Fulham, and City of London. You will teach in different homes across a specific area in Central London. Owning transportation to travel between homes is recommended (i.e. bicycle).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES



To provide motivational music lessons at customers' private residencies and/or online. To develop teaching strategies by identifying student's individual needs and developing action plans. To act in a professional manner, setting high standards of punctuality and conduct. To empower and support music students by attending their live performances organised and scheduled by Maison Musicale. To monitor and report student's progress and advancement: results, improvement, and target goals. To accommodate time to communicate with the parent or guardian the student's progress, and to reply to all inquiries promptly and efficiently. To complete weekly administration tasks where required, including online communication with the Director of Studies and book listing among others. To update job knowledge by remaining aware of new educational trends and music book resources, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks with other educators.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS



Communicative skills with both children and adults Strategic lesson planning and vision Organisational and time management skills Flexibility Computer proficiency

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS



Master's or bachelor's degree in music. (Music teaching degree preferred.) Teaching experience in 1:1 guitar teaching is required. Training and support is provided; specific development workshops can be requested.
