You will be mentored by the school's owner, Ellie Scott, and will receive full support and training in the role. A tutor manual with guidelines on how to teach lessons will be provided.

Personal Qualities
Approachability -
A tutor who is friendly and positive to be around is better than a tutor who is a musical genius with no people skills! Music lessons have to be enjoyable and nurturing.
Emotional Intelligence -
Its important to take interest in students and show you care about their musical progress and also them as a person. Taking interest helps build a bigger picture which will enable learning.
High Standards -
You must have an eye for quality and detail. Quality over quantity is key, it's not a race through as many songs as possible. Any mistakes need to be discussed and constructive suggestions should be offered to develop their playing.
Time Management -
You will be required to effectively manage time within each music lesson to ensure you cover everything planned. Most lessons are 30 minutes long. This should still feel relaxed and not like you are racing to a finish line.
Inclusivity -
Every student is different but they all deserve the same level of respect, energy and positive attitude. You will need to develop a rapport and way of working with each individual.
Passionate -
You should be an inspiration to your students, they should be able to see that you love music and what you do!
