Do you have the ability to communicate and work well within a team? and are you alert to the safety of yourself and people around you? If the answer is yes, we want to hear from you! We are currently seeking a Gym Instructor at Selby Leisure Centre.

The Role

You will work within North Yorkshire Council's Leisure Services team to engage, facilitate, educate, and support clients in the gym environment. You will be line managed by the Duty Manager and/or relevant member(s) of the Leisure Centre Management Team. The role involves supervision of customers, ensuring their safety and satisfaction whilst following North Yorkshire Council's policies and procedures at all times.

What we need from you:

To deliver and supervise all activities associated within the gym, observing safe working practices, ensuring the health and safety and wellbeing of all users, including: The checking and authorisation of health forms. Ability to work effectively within the team and forge excellent working relationships Be able to give clear, accurate instructions to all customers and gain a rapport. Be able to adapt to different ages/abilities and sensitive to individual needs Good verbal and written skills Ability to demonstrate high levels of customer service at all times Reliable, enthusiastic, self-motivated and approachable Work unsupervised and show initiative

QUALIFICATIONS



Applicants must have at least a Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification.
