This is an exciting opportunity for a club manager to lead our popular and thriving club in North London. The applicant must have at least a level 2 British Gymnastics Qualification, DBS and the right to work in the UK.

As the manager at Perform Better you will be responsible for ensuring that
everything in the club runs smoothly and that all of our members and parents get the best
possible service in our nurseries and during our activities.
You will be an experienced deputy club manager, programme manager or club manager
looking for a move and you will have already played a key role in marketing, finance and
people issues in your current role.
The role is a full-time one, working 40 hours per week, including evenings and weekend.
You will receive a salary of 35,000, and a discretionary bonus 5000/year based on performances.
We will provide your uniform and free on-site parking is available.
Due to the nature of our work, you will need to have an enhanced DBS check before you start, qualifications in gymnastics and other sports like Circus, Dance,Martial arts would also help.
In terms of specifics, we would like you to:
? Support the CEO to set targets and measures of performance.
? Ensure that these are met in the club, taking decisive action where necessary after
discussion with the CEO.
? Lead the club, ensuring a positive culture and clear demonstration of the
organisation's values.
? Role model these values at all times.
? Ensure that all Health & Safety requirements are met at all times.
? Design and implement a transparent marketing plan for the club.
? Identify business opportunities in the club and brings these to the attention of the
CEO.
? Anticipate and resolve people-related issues, supported by the Head of People.
? Guide the programme manager and the nursery manager in discharging their
responsibilities and be a sounding board for more difficult issues.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
? ? Must possess a highly defined focus towards both internal and external guest service
? ? Explains and demonstrates use of apparatus and equipment
? ? Explains and demonstrate principles, techniques, and methods of regulating movement of
body, hands, and feet to achieve proficiency
? ? Observes gymnasts during practice to detect and correct mistakes
? ? Explains and enforces safety rules and regulations
? ? Organizes and conducts practice sessions and competitions
? ? Checks equipment regularly for safety and needed maintenance
? ? Communicates with management and secretary for invoicing and marketing
? ? Finds substitutes for classes when not available
? ? Communicates with parents, gymnasts, coordinator(s) and supervisor
? ? Report accidents and injuries that occur during class
? ? Administer first-aid as necessary
? ? Answer phones and return messages as needed
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISORY DUTIES
? ? Trains other coaches and instructors on proper techniques and safety for the
corresponding level of gymnastics
? ? Requires the ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with other
District personnel, the general public, and representatives of other agencies
ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
? ? Set up and clean up gym for daily practices
? ? Create lesson plans for practices
SKILLS
? ? Basic computer skills in MS Office
? ? Organizational skills
? Plans and runs team practices and progressive classes. Develop all lesson plans for
the Gymnastic Team.
? Coordinate, supervise, and schedule appropriate staff for all gymnastic team meets,
events, overnights, clinics, parties, etc.
? Builds strong relationships with kids, families, and communities through effective
youth programming. Maintain open lines of communication with parents and coaches
