We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Gymnastics Coach to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sports coaching and a commitment to educating young athletes in the art of gymnastics. This role involves training cheerleaders of various skill levels, fostering their development, and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all participants.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement training programmes tailored to the needs of individual gymnasts.
Educate athletes on proper techniques, safety practices, and the fundamentals of gymnastics.
Conduct regular training sessions, ensuring that each gymnast receives personalised attention and feedback.
Monitor the progress of gymnasts, providing constructive criticism and encouragement to enhance their skills.
Organise and lead warm-up and cool-down activities to promote physical fitness and injury prevention.
Maintain a safe training environment by adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches regarding progress, goals, and any concerns.
Participate in competitions as needed, preparing athletes for performance through focused training.
Experience
British Gymnastics qualified, or equivalent
Previous experience in sports coaching is essential, with a strong emphasis on gymnastics preferred.
A background in educating young athletes is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire gymnasts of all ages.
Strong organisational skills to manage training schedules and athlete development plans.
A passion for gymnastics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
