Riverside Education is an OFSTED 'Outstanding' independent school catering for students aged 14-19 with Special Education Needs and associated behaviours.

Job Purpose

To deliver high-quality teaching, training, and assessment in hairdressing and beauty therapy, ensuring learners gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to succeed in the industry. The Hair and Beauty Tutor is responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, supporting learners' personal and professional development, and maintaining high standards of education in line with awarding body and industry requirements.

Key responsibilities

Plan and teach practical and theory lessons

Ensure all Health and Safety processes and procedures are followed

Manage behaviour effectively

Support students with their SEND needs

Complete assessment and associated administrative tasks

Other duties

Other duties may include but are not limited to:

Delivering or supporting tutorials and enrichments

Completing paperwork for students

Break duty

Supporting and/or covering lessons

Qualifications, training and Experience

Hair & Beauty qualifications and/or experience of the industry

Good standard of Maths and English
