Hair Transplant Technician

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Hair Transplant Technician staff preferably with at least 1-2 years experience, even with candidates with medical, nursing, dental technician background. The technician will work with a board-certified hair transplant doctor and experienced team of technicians and will take an active role in the procedures and patient care for both men and women experiencing hair loss. We will provide extensive training.

Day to Day responsibilities:

Set up, removal, and maintenance of instruments, machine, and microscopes for FUE procedures Estimates size of donor site using densitometer along with nurses and prepares site for surgery Assists during surgery (removal of donor site) for FUE procedure Assists physician with marking recipient site prior to placement Harvests grafts using motorised tool for FUE Prepare and count grafts for placement manually using magnification and maintaining graft integrity throughout case Maintains knowledge of current literature regarding hair loss and treatments Educates patient throughout the procedure Ensures patient is comfortable during procedure Monitors patients for pain and bleeding during case and reports to nurse Set-up equipment for graft placement and ensures grafts are handled and chilled appropriately Ensures counts are accurate Prepares scalp for placement of grafts Assists in the placing of grafts according to physician direction Assist with application of dressing after procedure Assists with review and maintenance of hair logs, patient charts and photos Assists with laundry Other duties as assigned

- Perform various technical procedures and tests under the supervision of healthcare professionals
- Analyze and interpret test results to provide accurate information for patient diagnosis and treatment
- Assist in the care of patients in specialized areas such as paediatrics, critical care, or ICU
- Follow aseptic technique and infection prevention control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care
- Maintain and calibrate equipment used in testing and procedures
- Document and communicate test results accurately and timely

- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Experience working in a hospital or clinical setting preferred
- Proficiency in using medical equipment and technology
- Familiarity with basic life support procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
