Job Overview:

We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable

Cartwheels & Handstands Coach

to join our gymnastics team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about teaching beginner-level skills and helping young gymnasts build strong foundations in body awareness, balance, and basic technique.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging classes focused on teaching handstands, cartwheels, and other introductory gymnastics movements in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead gymnastics sessions focused on cartwheels, handstands, and related foundational skills Break down skills into clear, progressive steps for a range of age groups and abilities Ensure safety and correct technique through proper demonstrations and spotting Create a positive, inclusive, and fun learning atmosphere Monitor individual gymnast progress and adapt coaching accordingly Communicate effectively with gymnasts, parents, and fellow coaches Maintain a clean and safe training space, and ensure equipment is used correctly

Qualifications & Experience:

Experience coaching or assisting in gymnastics, dance, acrobatics, or physical education Recognised coaching qualification (e.g. British Gymnastics Level 1 or higher) preferred Strong understanding of basic gymnastics skills and progressions (cartwheels, handstands, bridges, rolls) Confident in spotting and teaching beginner-level techniques safely Excellent communication and interpersonal skills First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications (or willingness to obtain) Enhanced DBS check (or equivalent) required
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.00-30.00 per hour
