Pinnacle Group is looking for an experienced Handy Person to join our Homes Division for our Extra Care Housing Schemes in the Kirklees area. To provide high-quality responsive maintenance services, ensuring homes are safe, secure, and well-maintained for tenants across a portfolio of 465 one- and two-bedroom residential properties.



This will be a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hour per week Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm . Flexibility is important as you will be working amongst our 29 sites , performing routine maintenance, managing repairs, ensuring security protocols are followed, and keeping the premises clean and orderly.

Key responsibilities will include:

Carry out window repairs, including replacing handles, hinges, and seals. Perform basic joinery tasks, such as fitting skirting boards, architraves, and minor woodwork repairs. Undertake plastering work, including patch repairs and full wall skims. Complete decorating tasks, including painting, wallpapering, and surface preparation. Install, adjust, and repair door handles, locks (non-specialist), and internal doors. Respond to general maintenance requests across the housing stock. Conduct property inspections and report any issues requiring specialist attention. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards.

Key Requirements will include:

Proven experience in a multi-skilled handy person role. Competence in window repairs, joinery, plastering, and decorating. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach. Own Vehicle & Drivers Licence essential Relevant knowledge of health & safety, building codes and regulations The appointment to this role will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory Standard DBS Check
