An excellent opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, friendly and flexible candidate to apply for the role of Handy Person at Chancet wood.





We are a dynamic team working in a short breaks home for children and young people aged 5 to 18 with physical and multiple disabilities. The post is for 37 hours per week worked over 5 days.





The hours worked will be between 8am and 4pm on a flexible rota. This will include some bank holidays.





Positive relationships with Staff and Young people will be important to you as you will work as part of the Chancet wood team.





You will be responsible for the routine maintenance of the home, including decorating, routine repairs, maintenance of fixtures and fittings, carrying out routine checks, maintaining logs, providing domestic support when required and providing rapid responses to damage in the home to ensure repairs are completed swiftly and standards in the home are maintained.





All successful candidates are to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check. Applicants will need to be at least 22 years of age.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
