Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable team of handymen or a gang to assist with the installation of Monoflex on a new-build steel frame warehouse. The ideal candidates will collectively possess a diverse range of construction, installation, and maintenance skills, demonstrating the ability to work efficiently as a team to complete tasks to a high standard. This role is critical in ensuring the Monoflex installation is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule, contributing to the overall quality and functionality of the warehouse.

Duties

Install Monoflex sheeting on a steel frame warehouse, following project specifications and manufacturer guidelines. Collaborate with the team to measure, cut, and fit Monoflex materials accurately. Perform general construction tasks, including securing fixings, aligning panels, and ensuring weatherproof seals. Handle minor carpentry tasks, such as framing or adjusting supports, as needed during installation. Conduct basic electrical or mechanical adjustments to ensure compatibility with Monoflex fittings, if required. Assist with scaffolding setup, ensuring safe access to elevated work areas. Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition, adhering to safety protocols. Respond promptly to project manager instructions and coordinate with other trades on-site. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Report progress and any issues to the site supervisor to maintain project timelines.
Experience

Proven experience as a handyman, construction worker, or in a similar role, preferably with experience in cladding or roofing installations. Familiarity with Monoflex or similar flexible sheeting materials and their installation processes is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction techniques, including working with steel frames, fixings, and sealing systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or installation plans. Experience working as part of a team or gang on large-scale construction projects. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail to ensure precise installation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with other workers and supervisors. Familiarity with safe scaffolding practices and working at heights is advantageous. Sufficient tool kit.
