We are currently looking for handymen, or maintenance technicians, who are skilled in a joiner,mechanical engineering, and the development, building, and maintenance of machinery and mechanical systems and a broad variety of household jobs. The responsibilities are for completing routine maintenance and undertaking repairs.
Responsible for groundskeeping and repairs in residential and commercial properties, such as general maintenance, basic plumbing and electrical work, carpentry, and renovations of the nursing home as required.
You will have the ability to undertake and carry out emergency repairs and have good fault-finding abilities. Be dependable, organised, and conscientious, and take pride in seeing a job well done. Have the ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines when required.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as repairing equipment that does not require a specialised technician.
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any major repairs or replacements needed.
- Maintain the vehicles to keep them in good condition.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail
- Maintain the exterior throughout the seasons.
- Clean out rain gutters
- Remove fallen branches or other parts of the landscaping.
- Proficient in English with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
