Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, enabling them to tackle various tasks effectively. This role is essential for ensuring that properties remain in excellent condition, providing a safe and comfortable environment for occupants.

Duties

Perform general maintenance and repairs on residential and commercial properties. Conduct plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unclogging drains, and installing fixtures. Carry out electrical repairs such as replacing light fixtures, outlets, and switches. Handle carpentry work including furniture assembly, door repairs, and window installations. Paint walls, ceilings, and other surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or property managers. Maintain an organised inventory of tools and materials required for various jobs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, and carpentry techniques. Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and provide practical solutions. Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is advantageous for travelling between job sites. Physical stamina to perform manual labour and lift heavy objects as needed. A proactive attitude towards work with a strong commitment to quality.
