Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and improving various aspects of our property and facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a practical mindset and a broad range of DIY skills to contribute to the upkeep and functionality of our premises. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and capable of working independently to ensure the safety and efficiency of our environment.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, fixtures, and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general maintenance person tasks. Assist with installation of fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as required. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management. Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs carried out. Collaborate with external contractors when specialised work is necessary. Ensure all tools and materials are properly stored and maintained.

Experience

Proven experience as a Maintenance Person or in a similar maintenance role. Practical knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repairs. Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams is desirable. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Good communication skills to liaise with team members and external contractors. Valid relevant certifications or licences (e.g., electrical or plumbing) are advantageous but not essential. A Clean enhanced DBS will be required and 3 good references prior to commencement

Job Type: Temp to perm
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 12.21-20.00 per hour
