Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, demonstrating the ability to tackle various tasks in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and fittings. Conduct plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks and installing new fixtures. Carry out electrical work such as changing light bulbs, replacing switches, and minor wiring tasks. Assemble furniture and equipment as required. Paint walls, doors, and other surfaces to maintain aesthetic appeal. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from clients or management. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations. Maintain an organised inventory of tools and materials.

Requirements

Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person roles. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and painting techniques. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and colleagues. A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between job sites. Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to maintenance work.
