Part-Time Handy Person

Rochford Hundred Golf Club, Rochford, Essex

Hours:

20 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work)

The Role:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive Handy Person to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a varied role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in keeping buildings and grounds in top condition.

Key Responsibilities:

General maintenance and minor repairs to the Grade I listed main clubhouse

Upkeep of exterior buildings, including the 10th hut

Maintenance of the car park and surrounding areas

Care of a small garden area, including basic planting and weeding

Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality of all club facilities

Identifying and reporting larger repair needs

Occasional support for weekend events or urgent issues

Performing routine checks and reporting maintenance issues Ensuring health and safety standards are met

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience in a similar maintenance or handy person role

Understanding of basic property and garden maintenance

An appreciation for working with historic buildings (preferred but not essential)

Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills

A flexible and proactive attitude

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
