We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of skills in maintenance and repair, demonstrating proficiency in various trades. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and efficiently, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards. The Handy Man will be responsible for maintaining facilities and performing repairs, providing exceptional customer service while adhering to safety protocols.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings and equipment. Basic carpentry, decoration and landscaping. Interpret schematics and blueprints to complete tasks accurately. Perform welding tasks as required for repairs or installations. Carry out electrical work, including troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues. Utilise mechanical knowledge to maintain machinery and equipment. Supervise small teams during specific projects, ensuring quality control and adherence to timelines. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs and concerns professionally. Maintain an organised work environment, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles with a strong understanding of various trades. Proficiency with programmable logic controllers is advantageous. Solid electrical experience is essential; knowledge of safety regulations is a must. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment effectively. Previous supervising experience is preferred, demonstrating leadership capabilities. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
