About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance / Handy Person to join our team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with a broad range of maintenance skills and the ability to manage varied tasks across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Carry out basic plumbing tasks, including fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and replacing fixtures. Perform basic electrical work such as replacing sockets, switches, light fittings, and minor wiring tasks (non-certified work). Install and repair flooring, including vinyl, laminate, and carpet tiles, including sub floor repair (screeding). Move, lift and install heavy equipment and furniture safely and efficiently (manual handling). Conduct basic joinery and carpentry tasks, including repairing doors, building shelving, and fitting panels. General maintenance duties to ensure the building and equipment are in safe working condition. Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete planned preventive maintenance as required. Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.

Requirements:

Proven experience in a similar multi-skilled maintenance or handy person role. Good working knowledge of basic plumbing and electrical repairs. Experience in flooring installation and repairs. Physically fit and capable of moving heavy items safely. Skilled in basic carpentry and joinery. Strong problem-solving ability and initiative. Able to work independently and manage time effectively. Awareness of health and safety best practices. Driving licence (if travel between sites is required).

Desirable:

Formal qualifications or certifications in plumbing or electrics (not essential).
Role is typically Monday to Friday, 6am to 3pm, however flexibility is required with some weekend / out of hours work as required by the needs of the business/site.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 14.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
