Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of technical skills and a strong commitment to customer service. This role involves performing various maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The Handy Man will be responsible for troubleshooting issues, executing repairs, and maintaining equipment across multiple settings.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment. Interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute repairs accurately. Perform electrical work, including wiring and installation of fixtures. Carry out welding tasks as required for repairs or installations. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction. Supervise and lead small teams during larger projects or repairs. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by diagnosing issues with machinery or systems. Work with logic controllers for automated systems as needed. Maintain a clean and organised work environment.

Qualifications

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Strong understanding of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks. Ability to read and interpret schematics for various systems and structures. Previous experience in supervising teams is preferred but not essential. Welding skills are advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction. Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various issues effectively. Familiarity with logic controllers is a plus. A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong leadership qualities.
