Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and experienced Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad skill set in maintenance, electrical, mechanical, and joinery, painting, plumbing with the ability to supervise and lead projects when necessary. This role involves performing a variety of repair, installation, and maintenance duties across our facilities, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to a high standard. The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent customer service skills and the ability to interpret schematics and control systems such as programmable logic controllers (PLCs). This position offers an engaging environment where proactive problem-solving and leadership are highly valued.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine maintenance and repairs across multiple facilities, including electrical, mechanical, and plumbing tasks. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and control system diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate and programme programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation processes. Perform welding tasks using various techniques to repair or fabricate components. Lead small teams or supervise ongoing maintenance projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and repairs completed. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client needs promptly and professionally. Assist in training junior staff or apprentices as required.

Experience

Proven experience in maintenance or maintenance person roles within industrial or commercial settings. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot electrical systems. Mechanical knowledge including experience with machinery repair and mechanical systems. Skilled in welding techniques across various materials. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is desirable. Supervising experience or leadership skills are advantageous for overseeing projects or teams. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and problem-solving abilities. This position requires a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong leadership qualities who takes pride in delivering exceptional maintenance services across our organisation.
