Overview

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handy Man to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities through a variety of repair, maintenance, and installation tasks. Duties

Attending emergency jobs Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and infrastructure Repair and replace faulty electrical components, including wiring and switches, ensuring compliance with safety regulations Operate and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to support automation systems Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams for repairs and installations Perform welding tasks using appropriate techniques to repair metal structures or components Maintain mechanical systems, including motors, pumps, conveyors, and other machinery Assist with the installation of new equipment or infrastructure upgrades Supervise junior team members or contractors during maintenance projects when required Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety standards Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal or external client requests promptly and professionally

Experience

Proven experience in general maintenance or maintenance person roles within industrial or commercial environments Strong electrical experience, including working with wiring, switches, and control panels Knowledge of schematics, technical drawings, and wiring diagrams Welding skills with certification preferred but not essential Mechanical knowledge related to machinery repair and upkeep Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is highly desirable Supervising experience in a maintenance setting is advantageous Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving Customer service orientation with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
