About the Role:

T&G Engineering Holdings Ltd are recruiting a skilled and versatile full time Handyperson / Driver to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have mechanical knowledge and be capable of performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks. Based in Surrey but will require to visit multiple sites as the general handyperson/maintenance and delivering/collecting goods. This role requires a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Full time hours are 39hours per week: Monday-Thursday 07:30 to 16:00 (1/2hour lunch break), Friday 07:30-14:30 (no lunch break). Overtime hours available paid at time and a half.
23 days annual leave per annum plus English bank holidays.
Competitive rates of pay depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Conduct routine inspections of buildings to identify any issues.

General maintenance and repairs of buildings, grounds, fixtures, and equipment.

Basic electrical & plumbing repairs.

Liaising & assisting with relevant contractors/suppliers where required.

Carrying out loading and unloading as required, using appropriate equipment as necessary.

Delivery and collection of good using company vehicles.

Undertaking any other appropriate work as directed.

Requirements:

Experience in handyperson work, using tools and electrical equipment.

A basic understanding of electric and plumbing.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to communicate in a work environment within a team and maintenance contractors.

Flexibility of hours to meet company needs.

Forklift licence preferable, but not necessary (training can be provided).

Valid UK Driving Licence
