We are looking for a versatile and dedicated Handyperson/Production Operative to join our maintenance team. This position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about sustainable practices, enjoys hands-on work, and is eager to learn and grow within a supportive environment. This role will mainly include general handyperson and maintenance tasks based around our sites and workshops but also assisting in various stages of production in our Joinery workshop where we create unique and beautiful items from waste. This could be assembling basic production items, sanding and painting. You'll need to be hands-on, adaptable and able to turn your skills to a bit of everything. Key Responsibilities:
- General handyman type tasks around site:
- Carry out reactive and general maintenance tasks across the workshop, yard, and other facilities.
- Tackle a mix of trades work including:
- Basic joinery
- Basic plumbing
- General decorating (painting, filling, etc.)
- Carry out works at height when needed (e.g., light fittings, external repairs).
- Keep spaces safe, organised, and operational.
In The Workshop:
- Assembling items that have been pre-cut on the cnc. Building basic items such as planters
- Support the production team in executing full production runs, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Breaking down and reclaiming materials from various sources
- General housekeeping in and around the workshop.
What You'll Need:
- Hands-on experience in a general maintenance or multi-trade role.
- A broad set of basic practical skills across joinery, plumbing, and decorating.
- A proactive attitude and a knack for solving problems quickly.
- Confidence working at height (e.g. on ladders or scaffolding).
- A tidy, organised, and safety-conscious approach.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
Nice to Have (But Not Essential):
- Forklift licence
- Cherry picker / MEWP licence
- Basic machine servicing or maintenance experience

Opening Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 17:00pm
Rate of Pay: 14:00 per hour
Holiday Allowance: 30 days inclusive of bank holidays and 1 day additional each year with a maximum of 5 of days.
