We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor environments, ensuring high standards of horticultural and landscape care. Duties
Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
Operate various power tools such as trimmers, blowers, and lawnmowers safely and efficiently.
Use hand tools for planting, digging, edging, and other gardening activities.
Maintain irrigation systems, including installation, repair, and routine checks to ensure proper water distribution.
Operate machinery such as excavators for larger landscaping projects or site preparation.
Conduct general maintenance of equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Assist with construction activities related to landscape projects, including setting up structures or features as required.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety standards.
Monitor plant health and identify issues related to pests or disease for timely intervention.
Requirements
Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to garden machinery and equipment operation.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and gardening equipment safely.
Experience operating machinery such as excavators is advantageous.
Knowledge of irrigation systems installation and repair.
Strong understanding of horticultural practices, gardening techniques, and general maintenance procedures.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining attention to detail.
Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
A valid driver's licence is desirable for transporting equipment or materials between sites.
