Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting medical, diagnostic, and scientific devices. This role requires expertise in analogue, digital, RF, battery, low power, and embedded systems, with a strong focus on electronics design, testing, firmware and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop hardware systems, including architecture, schematics, PCB layout, and embedded solutions for battery-powered products
Lead and participate in the full hardware development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, prototyping, testing, debugging, firmware, and production support.
Ensure all products meet relevant regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601, 61326, 60335, ISO13485) and support new product introduction (NPI) processes.
Develop and execute test plans, conduct EMC testing, and troubleshoot hardware issues to ensure product reliability and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, software, and manufacturing, to deliver integrated solutions.
Maintain accurate documentation for hardware designs, test results, and compliance records.
Stay current with advancements in low-power design, BLE, RF technologies, and embedded firmware.
Provide production support and resolve issues related to hardware performance and manufacturability.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Proven experience delivering medical, diagnostic, or scientific devices.
Strong background in analogue, digital, RF, low power, and embedded systems design.
Proficiency in electronics design, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and debugging.
Experience with EMC testing, compliance, and regulatory standards (IEC 60601, 61326, 60335).
Demonstrated expertise in low-power design, signal conditioning BLE, and RF systems.
Hands-on experience with embedded firmware development
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience supporting products through the full lifecycle, from concept to production.
Familiarity with production support and NPI processes.
Knowledge of quality assurance and documentation best practices.
