We are working with a specialist technology business in Farnborough that designs and develops secure hardware solutions for government and defence applications. Their work focuses on protecting sensitive information through innovative engineering, ensuring critical data remains safe and reliable.

UK Nationals only, with the ability to obtain UK security clearance

They are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer to take ownership across the full product lifecycle, from design and prototyping through to testing and integration.

Essential Requirements of a Hardware Engineer

Degree in Electronic / Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Proven experience across the full hardware development lifecycle (design, prototyping, testing, integration)

Strong understanding of digital circuit design and high-speed electronics fundamentals

Skilled in hardware testing and fault-finding using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and standard lab equipment.

Desirable Requirements of a Hardware Engineer

Experience with PCB layout and industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., Cadence, Mentor).

Exposure to production support and resolving manufacturing/test issues.

Experience working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams

Knowledge of secure or mission-critical hardware systems, or encryption technologies
