Overview

We are looking for cool-headed Hare Driver to join the team at Towcester Racecourse.

With super-sharp reflexes, you will literally be in the driving seat controlling the mechanical hare during race meetings to ensure it keeps a safe distance ahead of the chasing pack.

Don't worry if you've not had much experience, it's a unique job and full training will be provided to get you on the move in this exciting role!

Hours: 40 per week (weekends required)

Principal accountabilities and responsibilities

Drive the hare at greyhound race meetings and trial sessions Use timing and focus to keep the hare moving smoothly at a safe distance Work closely with Racing Office and grounds team Carry out equipment checks before and after racing

Qualifications & Experience

Background in greyhound racing or sport preferred but not essential

Pay: Up to 26,208.00 per year
