What You'll Do:
As a Hazard Communications Specialist, you will research, compile, and evaluate compositional, hazard, and regulatory information as part of the Product Safety and Compliance Department (PSCD). This is a highly cross-functional position with regular communication and influence on all business commercial units, R&D, procurement, supply chain, operations, legal, and finance. You'll collaborate with a diverse group of passionate individuals to deliver sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve wellbeing and enhance modern life.
What We're Looking For:
An early career qualified scientist with a passion for further developing their regulatory know-how and applying it to the specialty chemical sector who will:-
Conduct health hazard and environmental hazard assessments to create SDSs, eSDS's and Label content for products, intermediates and experimental products
Maintain data integrity on our hazard assessments in the SDS authoring system
Monitor/evaluate upcoming and pending legislation to determine the impact on Lubrizol, developing plans to address these new or changing requirements
Actively participate in system development projects to continue to maintain compliance with Global Hazard Communication regulations and related requirements
Support and lead projects as assigned by the regional manager
Train, mentor and develop less experienced staff
Skills That Make a Difference:
Master's degree in chemistry, Biological Sciences, or EHS related field
2+ years practical experience within the chemical regulatory industry
Understanding of SDS's authoring based on various national, international, and global hazard communications regulatory schemes (GHS)
Knowledge and experience with industry SDS authoring systems.
Knowledge and experience in transportation requirements, physical hazard, handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) assessments
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities.
Detail oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and results driven.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications - emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint).
Strong interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
Ability to be self-motivated, proactive, attentive to detail and to manage competing priorities.
Ability to be creative and resourceful in all aspects of the job.
Some travelling among our different sites in India may be required.
