Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their well-being and promoting independence. You will work closely with clients to implement care plans and support their daily activities, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Develop and maintain individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene and safety within the care environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. Ability to follow care plans accurately while demonstrating empathy and patience. Proficient IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software. A commitment to providing high-quality support while respecting the dignity and privacy of clients.
