Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will work closely with clients to assist them in their daily activities and help implement care plans tailored to their specific needs. Strong communication skills in English are essential for effectively interacting with clients, families, and other team members.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences. Help implement and monitor care plans, ensuring that all aspects of the client's well-being are addressed. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in condition. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to provide comprehensive support. Drive to clients' homes or care facilities as required, ensuring timely arrival for scheduled visits. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and colleagues. Ability to understand and follow care plans accurately. A valid driving licence is preferred for those who may need to travel between locations. Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and using electronic communication tools. A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
