Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential assistance to individuals in need, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing. You will be responsible for implementing care plans, supporting care home environment, and fostering a positive and supportive atmosphere for those you assist. Your ability to communicate effectively and drive will be key in delivering high-quality support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are addressed. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, enhancing their quality of life. Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in behaviour or health to the appropriate personnel. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role within home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively is advantageous. Excellent communication skills in English are required to interact with clients and their families compassionately. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transportation when necessary. DBS needs to be on the update service.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
