Duties
Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal service
Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, sanitation, and organization of living spaces
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
Document care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and facility policies
Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive community atmosphere
Requirements
Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care including Alzheimer's and memory care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
Certifications such as First Aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance are preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire is required
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and manage physical tasks involved in patient transfers and mobility assistance
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams
Experience with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and creating or following care plans is advantageous
