We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes independence and dignity.
Duties
Assist individuals with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients in following their personalised care plans to meet their individual needs.
Communicate effectively in English with clients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
Help clients engage in social activities and maintain connections with their community.
Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by adhering to health and safety standards.
Use IT systems for record keeping and communication within the team.
Drive clients to appointments or social outings as needed.
Experience
Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
Strong communication skills in English are required to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Familiarity with creating or following care plans is an advantage.
A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
DBS needs to be on the update service.
