Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care home settings, ensuring their well-being and enhancing their quality of life. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for those in your care. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to providing high-quality support.

Responsibilities

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management. Implement and monitor care plans tailored to the specific needs of each individual. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport. Support clients in engaging with community resources and activities to promote independence. Utilise IT systems for record-keeping and communication purposes as necessary. Foster a positive and respectful environment that encourages client participation in their own care.

Experience

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential. Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate client transport when necessary.

DBS needs to be on the update service.

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
