Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes or through home care services. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of care plans, and the ability to work collaboratively with both clients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Implement and follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in their condition. Support clients in engaging with community activities and promote social inclusion. Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required, ensuring their safety at all times. Utilise IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes, ensuring data protection standards are met.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed. A compassionate approach with a genuine desire to improve the lives of others. Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes.

Job Type: Temporary
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: 12.21-12.50 per hour
