HE Lecturer - Costume Production

Band 7-8 - starting salary 20,988 (34,980 FTE) with annual, incremental progression up to 25,039 (41,732 FTE)

Full Time/Part Time - 22.2 hours per week

Working Location - Tavistock Place Campus

Arts University Plymouth are seeking a dedicated and innovative Lecturer to teach on our BA Hons Costume Production course, joining a creative and dynamic academic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development, planning, and delivery of a high-quality costume production course at undergraduate level. If you are passionate about costume production, keen to engage with emerging technologies, and eager to help shape the future of students in this field, we would love to hear from you.

Please note that an MA qualification is an essential requirement for this role.

About You:

You will have proven experience in Higher Education teaching, in costume production or a related field You will hold in-depth understanding of the creative industries, with the ability to apply theory to practice Youll have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners If you hold experience with millinery techniques and/or thermoplastics this would be advantageous. You will hold a minimum of an MA level qualification

About The Role:

Play an integral part in delivering undergraduate teaching including the planning, developing, and delivering of engaging learning content within the BA Hons Costume Production course Responsible for the assessment of student work, providing constructive feedback to students and supporting their academic and professional development Engaging in scholarly activity, research, and professional practice to keep your teaching current and relevant to the creative industries Take on unit leadership responsibilities, managing the administration and delivery of specific course units Participating in student recruitment and retention initiatives, such as open days, UCAS fairs, and outreach activities More information on the course can be found on our website
