Overview:

The Moon By Sea is a brand new Cafe/Bar where coastal calm meets cosmic charm. We are looking for a skilled Head Barista to lead the way with the day to day service and all things coffee!

We are passionate about exceptional service, warm hospitality and creating a new space where community thrives. We are looking for someone that is confident, reliable and is concentrated in making every customers experience a comfortable and special one.

Responsibilities:

Lead the barista/bar team with confidence, care, clarity and consistency. Maintain high standards in coffee preparation, presentation and service. Oversee the daily operations behind the bar including quality control, staff training and inventory. Ensure that the equipment is maintained, cleaned and serviced to a high standard. Create a friendly and welcoming work environment for both staff and guests alike. Handle cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for processing payments. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer experience.

Experience:

A seasoned barista with at least 1-3 years of speciality coffee experience. Basic bar knowledge is highly desirable. Confident in coffee knowledge, steaming milk & latte art. A good understanding of both food and drink safety practices. Demonstrated ability of leading a small team. Organised, reliable & an excellent communicator. Showing a clear passion for excellent coffee, hospitality and community. Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient service delivery. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for customer service and an eye for detail.
