We are the new Tenants at The Cricketers Inn, Longparish. This is our 4th pub, we have a well established team with us that are flexible and hard working. We are a traditional family based business with 4 of us (Ian, James, Sam, Micheal) running 4 pubs. We're looking for someone that will work with us and our executive chef on menus design, Sunday roast quality and repeatable high standards. There is a tenancy to be left on your own as a head chef but with us, there is constant support whenever and wherever needed.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves overseeing all aspects of food preparation, ensuring high standards of food safety, and managing kitchen operations efficiently. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in maintaining the restaurant's reputation for excellence and innovation in cuisine.
Responsibilities
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during busy periods
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in accordance with industry standards
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
Knowledge of modern food trends, menu development, and restaurant operations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent communication skills
Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential
A recognised culinary qualification is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience
