Job Summary


We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative food preparation. Duties



Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other culinary personnel, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Oversee menu planning, ensuring a diverse and appealing selection that aligns with restaurant standards and customer preferences Manage food production processes, including food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure consistency and high quality Supervise inventory management, including ordering, stock control, and minimizing waste to optimize kitchen efficiency Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the kitchen Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution Oversee dietary department operations when applicable, ensuring special dietary needs are met with precision Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow Train new staff members on food handling procedures, safety protocols, and service standards Collaborate with restaurant management on menu development, pricing strategies, and overall culinary direction

Skills



Proven experience in fine dining cuisine with strong culinary skills in food preparation and cooking techniques Extensive banquet experience along with catering expertise Supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively Excellent organizational skills in inventory control and kitchen management Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations within the food industry Experience in menu planning, food service management, and restaurant operations Ability to handle multiple responsibilities including shift management and inventory oversight Exceptional communication skills to coordinate with staff and management teams Background in hospitality or culinary arts with relevant certifications preferred
