Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production processes, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently
Manage food preparation and cooking activities across all sections of the kitchen
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative ideas
Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
Train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff to promote professional growth and skill development
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Maintain organisation of kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring smooth workflow
Requirements
Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production and food safety standards
Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
Proficiency in food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation standards
Prior experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality setting is essential
Excellent leadership qualities combined with organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to food service environments
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
