We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the entire kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants.
Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality standards are met.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in accordance with food safety regulations.
Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food production, service, and safety procedures.
Monitor labour costs and optimise utilisation of resources to maximise efficiency.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations across all kitchen activities.
Foster a positive team environment that encourages professional development and teamwork.
Experience
Proven supervisory experience within a busy culinary environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
