Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Head Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production and preparation, with a flair for creativity and an unwavering commitment to food safety and quality. As Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional dining experiences while leading and supervising kitchen staff in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Lead, train, mentor, schedule, motivate and delegate tasks to the kitchen brigade (sous chefs, cooks etc.), providing guidance on culinary techniques and best practices.
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
Monitor inventory levels, control food costs, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain strict food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations. Enforce health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (like HACCP).
Liaise with management, manage budgets, and handle administrative duties as well as with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service during peak times.
