The Manor at Toton is reopening and as such are looking for a Chef to turn the establishment into the best dining experience in the area, We are looking to offer high quality mainstream foods with a varied menu and also some surprises along the way.
We are very open as to what we are looking for in the successful person to run the kitchen and are looking for candidates to express themselves with what they can offer our clientele. Whilst we are not looking to be a Michelin starred restaurant we do want to offer food of a better standard than what is currently on offer but stay within the price range of the area.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, catering to diverse customer preferences
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes
Manage food safety protocols, including hygiene standards and proper storage practices
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control waste to optimise kitchen efficiency
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Skills
Proven supervising experience within a busy culinary or hospitality environment
Extensive food production knowledge with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrated team management and leadership abilities to motivate staff effectively
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
Experience working in restaurants or similar hospitality settings with a focus on quality service
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
Passion for culinary innovation and delivering exceptional dining experiences
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining high standards of service

Pay: 26,850.58-48,335.42 per year
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
