The Devonshire needs little or no introduction to anyone who eats and drinks in the area. Last year awarded Derby Food & Drink Awards "BEST Country Pub and Restaurant 2024" It delivers one of the most cutting edge pub food offers in the area.
As head chef at the Devonshire you will be working with an established and respected team and also group executive chef Wayne Rodgers. The Devonshire has a formidable reputation for 100% fresh food that is both creative and traditional, luring diners from miles around, as its reputation only increases. Having undergone an extension to the kitchen and dining room last summer, the Devonshire is going from strength to strength, so experience of a busy kitchen is obviously a necessity. Our FOH manager has years of hospitality experience under their belt and is a formidable member of the team.
You must have head chef experience, have worked with fresh foods from scratch and subsequently familiar and confident working with all aspects of a commercial kitchen.
The Devonshire holds a 5food hygiene rating and is compliant with environmental services in the control and treatment of FOG with Severn Trent Water.
If you're a friendly and approachable person, hard working with a good sense of humour to mirror what can only be described as an 'enjoyable' vibe within the team and can ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained, then we'd love to hear from you.
