Job Overview


We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive culinary expertise, and a keen eye for food safety and presentation. This role involves overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes, and maintaining a vibrant, efficient working environment. The Head Chef will play a pivotal role in shaping the menu, supervising staff, and upholding the standards of our establishment. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional to lead a dynamic team while delivering exceptional dining experiences in a vibrant sea side setting.

Duties



Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all dishes served. Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Manage food preparation and cooking activities, maintaining high standards of presentation and taste. Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory to minimise waste while ensuring availability of ingredients. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting professional development within the team. Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.

Skills



Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment. Extensive food production expertise with a strong background in

Indian, Indian Fusion and touch of Continental food preparation and cooking

. Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively. Solid understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.

Experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting with a focus on culinary excellence

. Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management. Knowledge of current culinary trends and innovative menu development skills. Previous experience in serving customers or front-of-house operations is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: 36,000.00 per year
