We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food, and extensive kitchen experience. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food production
Oversee the preparation and presentation of dishes, maintaining consistency and quality across all menu items
Develop and update menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards within the kitchen
Manage inventory, order supplies, and control stock levels to minimise waste
Train staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and service standards
Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods
Monitor kitchen operations to optimise productivity and minimise costs while maintaining quality
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive food production experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
Demonstrable team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff members
Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations applicable to commercial kitchens
Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is highly desirable
Knowledge of culinary trends, menu development, and serving practices within a high-volume setting
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational skills to oversee daily operations effectively
