We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our 2AA rosette kitchen. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation are maintained. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our menu offerings and inspire a talented team in a vibrant hospitality environment.
Responsibilities
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
Oversee food production, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation meet brand standards
Manage food preparation and cooking processes efficiently to meet service times
Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Monitor stock levels, place orders, and control inventory to minimise waste and optimise costs
Train and mentor kitchen staff, promoting professional development and skill enhancement
Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained properly and operated safely
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
Experience
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality environment
Extensive background in food production, food preparation, and cooking techniques
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse groups of staff
Demonstrable experience in developing menus and managing kitchen operations effectively
Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene standards
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of hospitality service standards
Experience serving customers directly is advantageous but not essential; however, familiarity with customer service principles is beneficial
