We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team. Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs and kitchen assistants, to ensure efficient operation
Oversee food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared in a timely manner
Develop innovative menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences
Manage food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs effectively
Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking, and service
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
Ensure all dishes are prepared according to specified recipes and presentation standards
Uphold hospitality standards by fostering a positive team environment centred on excellence
Qualifications
Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment
Extensive culinary experience with strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
Demonstrable leadership abilities with effective team management skills
Sound knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen
Experience in food production, menu planning, and inventory control
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills to motivate staff and liaise effectively across departments
