We are seeking a talented and experienced head chef to join our team with an immediate start. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new kitchen and restaurant.
Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members
Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
Coordinate food production schedules to meet service times and customer demands
Assist in menu planning and development to introduce innovative dishes
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service during serving hours
Qualifications
Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food presentation
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience in food production, menu development, and restaurant operations is highly desirable
Competitive rates relevant to experience.

Pay: 22.00-28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 55 - 65 per week
