We are seeking a passionate chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering an exceptional burger experience at our new location - The Ghost at the Feast food-hall in Chichester. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food safety standards. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in staff management, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes served to our customers in person and via Uber Eats.
Duties
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to food safety regulations.
Prepare and serve innovative burgers that reflect current culinary trends and classic flavour combinations using some of the best local ingredients.
Manage and train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team environment.
Ensure the quality of food preparation meets the restaurant's standards for taste and presentation.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain stock levels.
Collaborate with GATF front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
Handle any customer feedback or complaints regarding food quality or service promptly and professionally.
You will need to be comfortable working alone, so taking orders and customer interaction necessary in a professional manner.
Experience
Previous experience in a restaurant, kitchen or hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment operation.
Demonstrated leadership abilities.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences for customers.
